Our Story

Flatrock Wetsuits began when two brothers from Bronte Beach grew tired of the discomfort caused by mainstream wetsuits. Whether it was the rashes caused by the neoprene rubbing on their neck or the lack of mobility when paddling, the brothers decided something had to change. So they threw out the mold and started from scratch to design the comfiest wetsuit possible. With the expert guidance of an award-winning, Sydney-based, industrial design firm, they designed their first wetsuit, the Bronte Series 1.5mm Wetsuit Top. Ever since their first wetsuit, Flatrock has been committed to a design principle that combines a modern aesthetic with superior comfort.

Why Flatrock Wetsuits?

All our wetsuits are constructed from soft, ultra flex neoprene which feels like a second skin and frees up arm mobility to give you the full range of motion when paddling. The lightweight material regulates your body temperature so that you don’t overheat.

All our wetsuits are made from premium Japanese limestone neoprene so they never tear, disintegrate or let you down when you’re out in the surf. However, should your wetsuit need repair at anytime (for the rest of your life) we will gladly fix and return it free of charge.
